ITV Awarded Highest Honor During International Health And Medical Film Competition

WHAT: The Cutting Edge Medical Report: "Unlocking the Secrets of
Schizophrenia" has been awarded the FREDDIE(R), the highest honor awarded in
the field of medical film and television production.
The International Health and Medical Film Competition (IHMFC) is the
world's preeminent film competition for health, medical and environmental
health films and television production. Nominations are received from around
the world. Judging is done by a blue-ribbon panel including members of the
American Medical Association, who is also the sponsor of the competition.
The National Advisory Board is comprised of noted medical and entertainment
luminaries which includes Michael E. DeBakey, M.D. and Robert E. Wise, Academy
Award winning film producer.
From an original field of 35 nominees in each category, ITV's "Unlocking
the Secrets of Schizophrenia" was selected as a finalist in the pre-awards
judging. This is the 21st year the awards have been handed out. An award was
also presented to Oscar winning director John Frankenheimer for The Burning
Season, actor Raul Julia's legacy project.
