Advances in Research Session: "Advances in Research" will help kick off the annual meeting's new research portion of the scientific program. It will be held Monday, May 19, at 9 a.m. in the Convention Center. The speakers and topics this year were selected to present a broad picture of the advances in psychiatry, said Weissman. Among the topics to be covered in depth are anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, treatment of depression, and genetics. It will begin with a review of the research-oriented sessions at the annual meeting. Sessions of special interest to clinicians will be highlighted.
