More Information about the schizophrenia.com Search
Engine
This search engine provides a comprehensive but
focused search of over 175 of the top schizophrenia, psychiatry, pharmaceutical,
brain disorder and mental illness sites (as well as related support organizations
such as NAMI). This means that when you use this search feature, you are
actually searching all of these sites at once - and only getting the information
from these top sites - not a lot of irrelevant web pages that happen to
have the word schizophrenia in them. Our "web search robot" goes
out every two days to each of these web sites and does what is called a
"full-text index" - meaning that every word on every page is
indexed so that you can find the information you want no matter where it
is on these sites.
In total there are over 53,000 documents available
through this search engine - probably the single most comprehensive and
freely accessible schizophrenia/psychiatric web information source in the
world. My hope is that this saves you time - so that you can more efficiently
learn about schizophrenia, help educate others about the illness, and ultimately
help people with this illness.
An interesting feature is the ability to view
the top searches already done, and repeat these searches simply by clicking
on their link. To try this go to this, click on this link
