Discussion Forums Back Up and Running!
Hi Everyone - we apologize for the downtime on our discussion forums - as I think I mentioned that server was hacked by someone who put up a Paypal scam web site/page. We were quickly alerted by Ebay and we took it down - but because our server had been broken into we had to delete all the software we had installed and clean the hard drive and re-install and reconfigure all the software again. And because we rely on part-time contractors for all our server work - it took me some time to get everyone and get the site back up again. We've implemented many new safety processes and software and hardware to help protect against this problem in the future. Again, we apologize for the interruption of service - let us know if you see any problems with the discussion forums.
Also - while we had the server off-line, we have installed some new search engine software for our web site - and this will allow you to more easily find information on our web site (we hope). We'll be adding to our home page and all our other pages on the web site in the next week or so. You can check out and try it at the following temporary link (don't save this page - it will change in the future:
http://208.69.42.138:8089/search/

hi very sorry to hear this, please be carefull when giving out ops etc , my site got hacked too . Sz.com is the best site on the net and offers us all great support and friendship, im so sad that anyone could consider hacking such a site , i hope things get sorted soon , love from sanakigran

Nah - it had nothing to do with ops - I've only given out the password to a few trusted contractors that have helped me configure the site. Not sure how they got in - but it was a group that was "Phishing" for people using a fake paypal page.

hi malv , no i was talking about my site , i was saying in general be very carefull who you give controls etc to. I saw undernet schizophrenia chat taken over by troll ops and shut down hacked etc also. Im sure brian and his crew have everything under controll and are working hard on getting the forums back up for us all. love from sanakigran

Its a shame this happened. I wonder if the perpetrator is aware that the site is a life savor for many who need support and encouragment.
Harming sz.com is like harming the entire community. I hope new security features are able to prevent this from happening. Thank you for your efforts in bringing the forum back online as soon as possible.

While we are killing time, I have to say I had a good laugh. I was looking at a side advertisement that said
" HELP US SOLVE THE SCHIZOPHRENIA PUZZLE ".
If schizophrenia is understood, then there is no puzzle to be solved. However, if there something unknown of that is on the go, yet has been given a temporary title such as Schizophrenia, and then research is to be completed, then that would make sense. But these days, despite not having all the facts, in fact being far from having all the facts, people claim many certainties concerning this so called schizophrenia.
To practice certainty without having facts to support the certainty, is the result of a mental disorder. Thus the mentally disordered are trying to solve a puzzle about those who they claim to be mentally disordered. The outcome, is failure.

do you have an egroup that i can join and participate in? i hav brother who is afflicted with this illness and i think it would help me a lot if i can hear your experiences and ask for opinions on how to care for him. it does get pretty tough at times. thanks.
