February 27, 2008Two Sisters, One Disease - Pam Wagner on her ExperienceRead more... Schizophrenia Video or Audio - Internet-based
You might have heard about Pamela Spiro Wagner and Carolyn S. Spiro, MD from seeing or reading their book, "Divided Minds: Twin Sisters' Journey Through Schizophrenia." But, if you haven't gotten a chance to hear them speak, you now have the chance. Just point your web browser to this link: The lecture that they give is poignant and ultimately full of hope. I know it is sometimes hard to feel hope about schizophrenia, especially when you or a loved one is feeling the worst of the illness. I dare say anyone with schizophrenia in their lives has had their moments of sheer sorrow and hopelessness. But although no one is ever cured (currently), there is the respite of recovery. We hold out hope for the times of recovery, because it IS worth it to see our friend or family member or ourselves recovered. So, please enjoy this lecture if for nothing else than the hope it brings. And, a big THANK YOU to Tim for finding this video for us! Posted by Kristin at February 27, 2008 01:21 AM

HI Pam and Linny, This is Carole Johnson. Remember me?? I have never met Linny, however Pam and I used to visit and chat. You used to call me the blonde Bimbo. I believe that was the epithet. I smile in recollection!
You both looked GREAT and delivered a message that encompassed so much of the pain and reality of schizophrenia that I found myself cheering you on as I read and being amazed as you touched on so many of the multi-faceted aspects of this disease. Call me if you want Pam. I would love to catch up!..Carole
