it is thought that this two drugs r quite effective at treating negative symptom of sz...and i wonder which country cant get them and which can??

Hi ,
My psychiatrist put me on Amisulpiride 400mg last year for negative symtoms as Aripiprazole didn't seem to be working too well ,it seems to be really good ,since going onto it i have quit smoking and get out more also my confidence has improved ,i'm in the UK btw..

I am on amisulpride 400mg for psychoses, it seems to be working really well, better than abilify or respiredone. I am not depressed and seem to be quite motivated.

How would you compare amisulpride to risperidone? Does it make you tired and gain a lot of weight? Thanks.

respiredone made me gain loads of weight, but since going on amisulpride that has stopped, although I am unable to lose any either. Have much more energy on amisulpride as well, really think its the best of a bad bunch.

Its 10 times better since being on amisulpride, but it would help being on a lower dose (cant lower to 200mg as symptoms return) Unfortunately amisulpride is not available in the us maybe you could try geodon instead?

Is amisulpride kind of like geodon? Geodon made me crave carbs when I got up to 80mg. It also made me tired and energetic at the same time which was torture. I take risperdal consta which is amazing for clarity but I wished it worked somewhat better with the negative symptoms. I'm interested in amisulpride though. I've heard that some people gain weight with it. Anyway's I wouldn't be able to get it through a doctor hear in the U.S.A. but maybe order online. Maybe I could lower my risperdal consta and take a low dose of amisulpride. Thanks.

What were your symptoms?Did u hear voices?Sounds like this med has really worked for you.I am also on solian & am a big fan.I am no longer delusional or paranoid & the volume of the voices has gone down.I am on 100 mg but may increase the dose to see what happenes as i would like to be free of all my symptoms like you are.What caused your illness?Mine was smoking weed about 10 yrs ago.

I have been on amisulpride(solian) for just over a year & it has been my saviour.I tried other drugs but they made me feel like crap basically.This is the only drug that has really worked for me.I am only on 100 mg but it has already got rid of my delusions & paranoia.My voices are also lower in volume & I plan to increase the volume soon to try & get rid of the voices too.I am also more motivated,positive & confident now as it is also used as an anti-depressant in some countries.I would give this drug a try.You will never look back.
