Here are two videos about Elyn R. Saks, the author of The Center Cannot Hold, an illuminating memoir about her personal struggle with schizophrenia. The first video contains some of my thoughts about the book and the second video is a video of Elyn Saks giving a lecture. The lecture is quite good, so I hope you enjoy it as well!

What a marvel you are...Truly I say this. We should all be so "sick" if your life and accomplishments are the result. I have had a lie controlled by panic and social anxiety and it had a huge effect on my early years. Somehow at 40 I went to college and got a BS/MS...must be a fluke :) But in comparison you are just a marvel. Please keep on speaking up and out for the practice of therapy and Mental Health. People are so afraid to be labeled they avoid talking out their problems. They spend the majority of their lives alone, suffering in silence, and not living up to anyone expectations or their potential. YOU GO GIRL :) p.c.b.

Is it possible to download the whole video of Elyn Saks? Streaming is hard on a slow line...
